Thoughts

holiday otw

I've had a run of busy days this past week, surprisingly though I am not as tired as I thought I would be.  Somehow I managed to train 4x last week along with 2 lifting sessions (I even dragged my daughter to a session) and 2 cardio sessions.  That's on top of working everyday since 6/22, and I will work right up until this Friday.  One of my training sessions was at Spa City BJJ, I was in the neighborhood and figured to pop in before heading home and then to work.  The class was run by the owner, a Black Belt, Eddie Fyvie, and was a review of the things they learned during the week.  There was about 15 people there and we partnered up and drilled for an hour.  After this was open mat, where I rolled with the owner for two rounds before I had to go home to prep for work.  It was a good time and I'm glad I popped in even if I was 15 minutes late for work.

Next Tuesday morning, probably 4 am, I will get up and drive to Virginia Beach for a short 3 day holiday.  It should be nice, gonna eat a bit and drink some cocktails on the beach.  You all know me too well though as it wouldn't be a holiday without some Jiu-Jitsu.  At the NY Spring Open, I met a competitor from Virginia Beach who put me on to a place down there, Gustavo Machado BJJ which I might check out.  Also Brian just went down to Virginia Beach in June and he popped in at Hybrid Training Center.  Either way, I will hit up one or the other for a class.

Speaking of training, it's about that time...
