Long day today. Was up at half 8 to get ready to go lift. The gym wasn't crowded, but there were a ton of regulars I knew who all seemed to want to talk. Usually this isn't bad, but I had a full plate today so I kinda wanted to beast mode through my lift and get the fuck of there. Went home and chilled for about an hour, had a protein shake and threw some laundry in before heading to class.
Class WAS packed. On a Sunday. I almost shit.
Literally were bumping into each other during passing drills lol. Its not a bad thing for sure but usually you don't get a crowd on Sunday, just a half dozen tops. Anyway, trained some gi chokes from side control and then sparred until class was over. Definitely got some good rolls in with everyone at least twice.
Next I had to run home and shower because I signed up to work (not the food testing job, this one is at a hospital as a MLT) today. This guy I work with asked me to pick up his shift and I figured 1) he will owe me a favor and will pick up a shift from me and 2) I can use the money to go to Ireland in October and pay for the Boston Summer Open in two weeks. Sucks to have to work on a Sunday but the advantages far outweigh the fact that I'm at work. Just like Jiu-Jitsu (for me at least), two steps forward and one step back At least the ER wasn't too busy and none of the instrumentation in the lab gave us any issues...And finally at 10 pm I'm out, just in time to throw in more laundry, blog and go to bed.
