This past weekend was the IBJJF NY Spring Open with the Gi competition being on Saturday and the No-Gi being on Sunday.  We sent two people down to compete, Julie and Marc.  Julie fought in both Gi and No-Gi while Marc only competed in the latter.  Each of them did very well in their respective divisions.

Julie took second in her Gi division, and third in the Gi open class.  In No-Gi she again took second in her division, and second in the open class.  Marc won his No-Gi division and came in third in the open class.  Hard work in the gym pays off as it was not a bad medal haul for either of them. 

I am hoping to get a tournament or superfight in next month and i've been scanning facebook and tournament sites looking to see what is out there.  Meanwhile I've picked up my training routine and am starting to get my meals in order.  It's time to start making some moves.
