Easter
I worked all weekend and it sucked, mostly. Saturday was my normal day to work but it was anything but normal. We had phlebotomist fuck ups, specimens getting sent to other hospitals for special testing, a broken instrument which I was trying to fix and certain tests on another instrument not passing calibration. Everything did end up working out somehow thankfully. It seems the highlight of my day was at 1015 am when managed a nice lift and agility training session.
Sunday was an extra day of work for me since I filled in for a co-worker. It was much better then the day before. Nothing broke, nothing needed to be sent anywhere or chased down and phlebotomy didn't give me any grief. The only complaint I have about the night was the volume of blood gasses I ran after 2100. Come on now...I wanted to sit and read the NY Times and ESPN, its Sunday night!
We didn't train today (well we did have open mat at 1800, but I was at work) so I lifted and did some cardio. The gym was quiet so I was able to get in and out. I felt pretty good and my weight is on point. I've a few more Jiu-Jitsu sessions this week along with cardio and one more lift. Saturday will be here with the quickness, so I have to start getting my snacks and drinks ready. I'm a bit excited to compete and to see if I have progressed in the past 9 months. Of course I want to win, but if I don't, I hope to see improvement from last time and that I do good by my teammates and coaches.
