So I managed to get my name on a scientific paper.  This is the third time this has happened for me.  For some people this is a regular occurrence, as they work doing research on large grants and projects where they are expected to produce results.  For me, it isn't a regular thing but it's cool, sort of a novelty and a feather in my cap.  I don't get any more money for it, or a promotion or anything really aside from the personal satisfaction of  knowing I can function at a high level in a lab even without that sheepskin of knowledge.  So yeah I'm a NERD.  Here's the link to the abstract.

So I've been looking searching for a new job for a while.  Nothing has come of it so far but I have a few leads.  Tomorrow I have a civil service test to take.  Sunday I have some insurance info to read over from a IVF lab who is interested in me.  Next week I have a job fair to go to. Also, I've applied to a few federal positions.  Hopefully things will go well for something.
