born day

My birthday yesterday was relatively uneventful and I did exactly what I wanted.

The weather was beautiful, 15-16C with a light breeze, so I skipped the gym and went to the banks in Washington Park to skate for an hour or so.  It started as just me and some kid in his twenties, but shortly there were two younger kids there, a 66 year old man and another guy in his 20's.  I spent most of my time working on kickflips, manuals and kickturns on the bank and Ollie 180's.

I closed out my day with double Jiu-Jitsu classes, as I usually do.  Typically I do both the intermediate and beginner class.  Both classes were packed today.  I threw it out there that it was my birthday so I got shark tanked for 12 minutes in the intermediate class.  No big deal, it was kind of fun.

Today I even took a long lunch so I could get some noon time Jits in.  Later I even hit the gym up to lift.  Its been a good two days and should continue into tomorrow with double classes again and some cardio.  I'm working back toward optimum shape, which is good since I haven't signed up for the IBJJF Montreal Open yet.

Boston and Asi are fighting this weekend on the Cage Titans Fighting Championship card.  Both guys are very prepared and should do well.  They put in alot of gym time in the past few weeks and they both have made visible improvements.  I will see them both tomorrow for their last training session before heading to Massachusetts on Friday
